Caleres announced today it is providing a lead sponsorship gift of $15,000 to support the St. Louis Symphony’s 2016/2017 Family Concerts. The Family Concerts are designed to engage and entertain children ages 5 to 12 and are a fun place for families to learn together, listen together and join in the music together.

While this is the first time Caleres is sponsoring the St. Louis Symphony’s Family Concerts, Caleres has a long history of giving back to the community and to the Symphony. Over the years, Caleres has given more than $20 million to the St. Louis community, including partnering with the St. Louis Symphony for over 30 years.

The concerts include:

3 p.m. Sunday, October 30 - Thrills and Chills

Calling all goblins and ghouls for a spooktakular concert with frightfully fun music for the whole family. Featuring favorites such as John Williams’ The Imperial March from Star WarsNight on Bald Mountain from Fantasia and Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre!

3 p.m. Sunday, January 22 - The New Adventures of Peter and the Wolf

Through the power of music and masterful storytelling, this lively version of Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf will deliver a powerful message inspiring confidence in kids of all ages.

3 p.m. Sunday, March 12 - STL Symphony + Saint Louis Zoo Symphonic Season
The STL Symphony rejoins forces with the Saint Louis Zoo to take you on a musical journey through the four seasons! Learn how your favorite animals navigate Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall at the Zoo. Featuring selections from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

Sponsorship of the St. Louis Symphony’s Family Concerts aligns with the Caleres Cares Charitable Trust’s mission to help develop stronger families by providing opportunities for enrichment and to provide occasions for families and individuals to step feet first into the arts and culture.
